The Test Engineering team designs, assembles and validates test solutions to be used in T&M Manufacturing facilities to test NI products at various stages of their assembly process.  We are seeking a Test Engineering intern who will work with our Test Engineers to assist with the design of these automated test systems. Come join our team!

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Designing or revising custom printed circuit boards to be used in a test fixture
  • Developing production test code for the next generation of NI products
  • Qualifying instruments for use in a Test application to be deployed to Manufacturing
  • Analyzing production test data to look for trends which indicate the health of the product and/or test solution 

Who You Are: 

You are passionate about learning about and working with test industry technologies. You are a quick learner with a strong work ethic and drive to succeed. You work effectively in a group environment, problem-solve, and diagnose technical issues and propose reasonable solutions. 

For this Role, You Will Need:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART: 

  • High-level programming languages (e.g. LabVIEW, TestStand, Python)
  • Analog signal considerations
  • Sources of measurement error
  • Appropriate selection of instrumentation
  • Statistical analysis of data
  • Integration of hardware and software
  • Hands-on experience with electronic hardware
  • Experience with high frequency circuit design, RF and wireless communication is highly desirable
