Job Description

Global Sourcing
The Global Sourcing organization, embedded within the Visa Global Finance function, serves as a strategic enabler of enterprise-wide value creation. The team leads the end-to-end sourcing and procurement lifecycle for goods and services, aligning supplier partnerships with Visa’s business priorities to drive innovation, operational excellence, and risk mitigation.

Through deep collaboration with business leaders, Global Sourcing leads strategic sourcing initiatives globally ensuring supplier selection optimizes total value across cost, quality, and resilience. Beyond sourcing, the team provides critical governance and support across supplier risk management, contracting, purchase order execution, and accounts payable, reinforcing compliance with regulatory standards and corporate policies.

As a trusted advisor to the business, Global Sourcing plays a pivotal role in delivering sustainable cost efficiencies, accelerating speed-to-value, and enabling Visa to operate with agility and integrity in a dynamic global marketplace.

Position Summary

The Vice President of Global Sourcing – Corporate Services & Product is a visionary leadership role responsible for architecting and executing the enterprise-wide sourcing strategy across critical categories, including real estate and facilities, insurance, employee services and benefits, card benefits and issuer solutions, travel and hospitality, and professional services. This role goes beyond operational oversight to shape the strategic direction of sourcing across regions, aligning supplier ecosystems with Visa’s innovation agenda and business growth objectives.

As a trusted partner to leadership across multiple functions at Visa, this role is accountable for the development and implementation of sourcing strategies that unlock value, accelerate transformation, and enable scalable growth. Operating in a highly matrixed and dynamic environment, the VP must influence senior stakeholders, inspire a global team, and elevate the sourcing function as a strategic enabler of enterprise success.

The role oversees a global organization of 35+ professionals managing an estimated 1.4B dollars in annual spend, with accountability for delivering meaningful value generation, enhancing supplier partnerships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate standards. This leader also contributes to the modernization of the sourcing function—championing AI/digital enablement, data-driven decision-making, and a best-in-class operating model.

This senior leadership role within Visa Global Finance is responsible for influencing strategic decisions in partnership with Visa leadership, while leading global sourcing teams to deliver measurable value. The role balances cost optimization with risk and regulatory compliance, ensuring sourcing strategies align with enterprise priorities. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and sustain trusted relationships with Visa’s Senior Executive team and other stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and drive alignment across functions. 
  • Strategic Vision & Category Leadership: Define and evolve the long-term sourcing strategy for Corporate Services & Product, aligning with Visa’s enterprise priorities, innovation roadmap, and regional business needs.
  • Supplier Relationship Management: Cultivate high-impact partnerships with key suppliers globally, negotiating value-driven agreements and fostering innovation, resilience, and performance.
  • Value Generation & Efficiency: Identify and execute strategic cost optimization opportunities that balance commercial impact with speed-to-market, regulatory compliance, and enterprise risk. Leverage data, technology, and AI-driven insights to unlock value.
  • Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure sourcing activities adhere to corporate policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Proactively manage supplier risk and supply chain continuity.
  • Transformation & Continuous Improvement: Champion innovation across Global Sourcing by leveraging AI, GenAI, advanced technologies, and validated sourcing practices. Drive continuous improvement and shift the function from transactional execution to strategic enablement—supporting Visa’s growth and transformation roadmap.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualificaitions

  • 15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD)
  • Proven success in global and matrixed environments, with deep expertise in relevant categories such as real estate and facilities, insurance, employee services and benefits, card benefits and issuer solutions, travel and hospitality, and professional services - sourcing across multinational organizations.
  • Strategic command of global sourcing, procurement, and supply chain principles to architect and execute high-impact sourcing strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and negotiate with global supplier ecosystems, driving innovation, resilience, and value.
  • Solid understanding of AI and GenAI technologies, including their application in sourcing, supplier innovation, and risk mitigation.
  • Advanced analytical acumen to interpret complex financial and operational data, generate actionable insights, and resolve issues with agility.
  • Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and supplier landscapes.
  • Visionary leader with a track record of defining and executing strategic roadmaps, aligning teams to enterprise goals.
  • Exceptional talent development capabilities—able to inspire, coach, and grow high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous learning.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 229,100.00 to 357,950.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
