Summary:
The Vice President, Business Development will be based in Austin, TX USA reporting to President, Regulated
Accountable to develop strategic business plans to ensure that segment or business units growth targets are met, guiding sales team to create and develop new business with recurrent and new accounts.
Responsibilities:
In charge of developing new strategic alliances with key customers.
Research and recognize customer’s business strategy, future product plans, and expansion activities and align Flex’s resources where mutually beneficial.
Demonstrate the ability to successfully influence senior level management, executives and key clients.
Define business priorities through a broad and far vision to include initiating and managing business development activities that will strengthen, expand and drive market penetration.
Manage the P&L and key financial metrics (ROIC, AR, etc.).
Assist current accounts in the development and execution of product roadmaps and act as a focal point in delivering Flex’s solutions which include concept development, industrial design, manufacturing, supply chain/logistics, services and reverse logistics.
Hold up senior management with regard to managing and evaluating key personnel and in terms of talent acquisition to provide further potential to business resources.
Act as the primary point of contact between the business and its clients.
Coordinate with the client and Flex’s operations to set on data requirements, production schedule and deliverables.
Initiate projects to improve and/or extend the value proposition to existing customers, linking them more firmly to Flex.
Drive contribute and steer business development activities to win replacement and growth business.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sciences or business.
Typically requires 10-12 years of progressively advancing account management and/or business development experience with a thorough understanding of customer segments and market dynamics within the EMS or OEM arena.
Ability to manage cross-functional teams including Business Development, Engineering, Program Management, Materials. Must understand P&L.
