Waterpark Training Manager

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Waterpark Training Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for leading all training and development initiatives to uphold the highest standards of safety, service, and team performance across the indoor and outdoor waterparks. This role leads the Waterpark Training Program with a focus on guest and associate safety, operational excellence, employee growth, and overall satisfaction.

 

As part of our leadership team, you’ll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You’ll ensure all team members are well-trained to provide safe, efficient, and friendly service throughout the park for our guests and associates.

 

Salary - $45,000 - $85,000

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and facilitate all StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification classes.
  • Develop and deliver weekly and monthly training meetings, as well as ongoing lifeguard and ride attendant in-service.
  • Manage training records and reports, including metrics, audits, and compliance documentation.
  • Oversee internal audits and assist with external audits.
  • Coordinate and conduct monthly and quarterly zone certifications.
  • Perform regular safety equipment inspections and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Serve as a mentor and leader for all waterpark associates by promoting professional growth, holding team members accountable, and reinforcing safety and service standards.
  • Support special projects and training initiatives assigned by leadership.
  • Maintain a professional and approachable presence while promptly addressing guest or associate concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry standards.

 

What We’re Looking For 

 

  • Waterpark experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a lifeguard instructor or in a waterpark leadership role, preferably in training or supervision.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn and master tools such as StarGuard Elite Portal, HotSOS, and Mobaro.
  • Ability to read and write in English; bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred.
