Job Description SummaryThe Agile ITR (Inquiry-to-Remittance) Lead Engineer acts as the primary Agile team focal point in the Americas region for Agile Conversions, Modifications, and Uprates (CM&Us) services, managing projects from customer inquiry through order receipt and outage execution. The role requires a balanced commitment of approximately 50% time spent leading and assigning work to other ITR engineers, and 50% performing hands-on ITR execution; this balance is dynamic and will shift based on team requirements and individual capabilities.
Upon receipt of a customer inquiry, the ITR Lead Engineer reviews the assigned R1 Gate Case to ensure requirements are met, clarifies customer scope, and provides a clear handover to the Agile ITR Engineer for proposal development. The Lead Engineer provides guidance, oversight, and support to Agile ITR Engineers throughout the proposal creation process and during subsequent customer negotiations. Upon receipt of a customer order, the Lead Engineer reviews assigned R3 Gate requests, manages order assignments, and resolves project escalations.
Additionally, the Lead Engineer participates in global continuous improvement exercises and serves as a key driver for KPI excellence. Success in this role requires active collaboration with Design Engineering, Sales, Commercial, Project Management, Field Services, and Supply Chain.

  • Operational Workload Balance: The role is split approximately 50/50 between leading team task assignments (including to Mexico) and hands-on ITR execution, subject to team needs and individual capabilities.
  • Technical Review: Provide technical guidance, oversight, and review of work for individual ITR engineers.
  • Escalation Management: Manage escalations from internal and external customers on the assigned projects.
  • Workload Management: Monitor team capacity to ensure balanced assignments while fostering professional growth and technical skill development across the team.
  • Process Optimization: Identify process gaps/inefficiencies and execute improvement plans in collaboration with Agile leadership. Leverage Lean methodologies to monitor, sustain, and improve business key-performance-indicators (KPIs).
  • Gate Governance: Review R1 and R3 Gate case requests for completeness and define clear, actionable deliverables for ITR engineers to ensure successful delivery.
  • Operational Execution: Oversee other critical ITO/OTR leader responsibilities, including but not limited to Short Cycle Workflows, Internal Change Orders (ICOs), unassigned Sales Order (SO) queues, CCIM Cases, TAG Creation/Updates, TIL subcases, etc.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively lead and participate in cross-functional initiatives to refine internal processes and drive business efficiency.
  • Matrix Collaboration: Effectively navigate a complex matrix organization, utilizing system-level thinking and sound technical judgment to ensure customer-centric resolutions.

Required Qualifications:
