Job Description

RESPEC is seeking an experienced Cloud Solutions Architect III to support a large-scale public sector technology initiative focused on cloud infrastructure, enterprise data platforms, analytics, and emerging AI technologies. This is an opportunity to contribute to mission-critical systems that support essential services for millions of citizens while working alongside highly skilled cloud, data, and application development professionals.

Role Summary

We are seeking a senior-level Cloud Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), enterprise data ecosystems, and AI-enabled cloud services. In this role, you will help design, support, optimize, and govern cloud-based platforms that enable data-driven decision making, advanced analytics, and enterprise application integration.

The ideal candidate combines strategic architecture expertise with hands-on operational support experience. This position requires a strong understanding of cloud observability, data integration, security, compliance, and production support within large, complex enterprise environments.

Core Responsibilities:

As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for architecting and supporting multi-cloud environments across Azure and GCP while ensuring platform reliability, scalability, security, and operational excellence. You will work closely with engineering, infrastructure, analytics, and business stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions that support enterprise data platforms, AI initiatives, and mission-critical applications.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining cloud monitoring and observability frameworks, implementing alerting and notification solutions, supporting enterprise data storage and data lake architectures, and providing Tier 2/3 operational support for cloud platforms. You will also contribute to cloud security governance, identity and access management, compliance initiatives, data integration solutions, and modernization efforts involving AI and analytics technologies.

The successful candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting production issues, analyzing logs and system performance, supporting enterprise integrations, and collaborating across multiple technical teams to drive continuous platform improvement.

Qualifications

Required Technical Experience

8+ Years of Experience

Candidates must demonstrate at least eight years of professional experience in the following areas:

· Designing, implementing, and supporting enterprise cloud solutions across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

· Supporting enterprise AI and Generative AI platforms, including technologies such as Gemini, Vertex AI, or comparable AI ecosystems

· Implementing and managing cloud monitoring, observability, and logging platforms, including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and GCP Cloud Monitoring

· Designing log ingestion, transformation, and analytics solutions using Logstash or similar technologies

· Building operational alerting and notification solutions, including SMS, voice, or automated incident notification platforms

· Supporting enterprise storage environments including Blob Storage, Data Lakes, and cloud-based analytics repositories

· Developing and supporting enterprise data platforms, ETL/ELT processes, and analytics workloads

· Working with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), Secure Agents, APIs, integrations, and cloud data movement solutions

· Implementing Identity and Access Management (IAM), security governance, audit logging, compliance controls, and least-privilege security models

· Providing Tier 2 and Tier 3 production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and operational troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with experience in the following areas will be highly competitive:

· Tableau Cloud administration and support

· ArcGIS and geospatial data integrations

· Python, Bash, and scripting-based automation

· CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation

· Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)

· Microservices-based architectures

· Data mesh frameworks and modern data architecture practices

· Enterprise API integration strategies

· Cross-functional technical leadership and stakeholder communication

· Experience translating complex technical concepts into business-friendly recommendations

This position follows a hybrid work model based in Austin, Texas.

Team members are expected to work onsite two days per week (Monday and Wednesday) and remotely three days per week. Work schedules are generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time. Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday support may be required based on project needs.
