Role Overview
Mastercard Digital Commerce Services makes payments simpler, faster and more secure through digital capabilities that eliminate manual card entry, tokenize e-commerce transactions and apply secure authentication.
The Director, Unified Tokenization Product Manager will join Digital Commerce Services to drive multi-brand tokenization for merchants, PSPs and acquirers, leading initiatives and strengthening customer value propositions.
This role defines product designs, functional and technical requirements, and specifications for new products, services and platform components. It also researches market dynamics, customer needs and emerging technologies to identify revenue-building opportunities.
The Director will partner with product, sales, account, regional, client-facing and technology teams to translate requirements into specifications, support platform delivery and enable launches through go-to-market planning, communications, sales enablement and education.
Primary Responsibilities
In this position, you will:• Own requirements for Mastercard multi-payment-network digital solutions for e-commerce customers.• Lead high-performing product development teams across regions and time zones.• Identify product and service opportunities that increase revenue.• Develop products and enhancements that address customer needs, trends and competitive threats.• Generate ideas that strengthen Mastercard's product suite and competitive advantage.• Use market research and opportunity assessments to validate new concepts.• Develop and present business cases for new concepts and enhancements.• Follow Mastercard's New Product Development/Go-To-Market process from concept to launch.• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver new multi-brand capabilities.• Create product designs and specifications with client-facing, development and stakeholder input.• Translate product requirements into technical specifications with developers and technology teams.• Provide thought leadership to improve token performance and drive execution end to end.• Prioritize initiatives to maximize impact and deliver against KPIs.• Engage directly with payment networks to ensure our solutions follow the latest specifications.• Align with product managers on functional and non-functional requirements.• Work with regional and customer-facing teams to accelerate global card-on-file tokenization adoption.• Monitor market and competitive dynamics to identify opportunities and inform strategy.• Support product marketing strategy and sales program execution.• Educate product, sales, account and customer-facing teams on product features, benefits and technical aspects.• Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture that empowers innovation and delivery.• Demonstrate product management excellence and share best practices.• Demonstrate Mastercard Way behaviours in customer and stakeholder interactions.
All About You• Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent experience; advanced degree desirable.• Experience in product conceptualization, design and development, preferably in payments, fintech, e-commerce or financial services.• Proven experience in product management within payments, fintech, or e-commerce ecosystems.• Understanding of digital payments, tokenization, authentication and/or API products.• Product development operations experience desirable.• Experience building business cases, designing market-relevant payments products and delivering within budget.• Experience developing products for U.S. and international markets.• Prior people management experience desirable.• Experience working with issuers, merchants, acquirers, PSPs, networks or ecosystem partners.• Passion for B2B customer experiences and an owner mindset.• Expertise applying product development practices across the lifecycle.• Ability to define and execute strategy to solve business problems or open new opportunities.• Strategic thinker with a record of driving growth and adoption.• Business acumen to create solutions that deliver value for customers and Mastercard.• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and project management skills.• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and project management skills.• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence partners at all levels.• Ability to collaborate in a highly matrixed, cross-functional and regional environment.• Proven ability to manage budgets and produce significant financial results.• Global mindset and comfort working across regions and time zones.• Ability to travel domestically or internationally on an occasional basis.
