Thatch is changing healthcare benefits. We give companies a way to offer every employee a health budget so they can choose the plan that fits their life, while giving employers predictable costs they can control.

Healthcare is one of the biggest conversations in the country, and Thatch has a story worth telling. As Head of Communications, you’ll own how we tell it across press, thought leadership, and social. You’ll set the strategy and do the work: pitching, writing, posting, and finding the moments where Thatch should be part of the conversation.

What you will do
  • Own Thatch’s communications strategy across earned media, thought leadership, and organic social.
  • Build relationships with top reporters and land coverage that matters.
  • Turn company news, industry trends, and cultural moments into stories people want to talk about.
  • Build distinct voices for Thatch and our executives across press, podcasts, and social.
  • Turn our data and expertise into original stories, reports, and points of view.
  • Grow Thatch beyond a B2B benefits brand, making healthcare easier to understand and more relevant to consumers
What we are looking for
  • 10+ years in communications, ideally in healthcare, benefits, or HR tech.
  • A track record of landing meaningful earned media and building relationships with top reporters.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial judgment, especially around complex topics.
  • Deep enough industry fluency to know what’s newsworthy and where Thatch can add to the conversation.
  • A hands-on operating style. You’re as comfortable writing the pitch as setting the strategy.

Estimated Compensation Range
