Finding the right place to grow your career isn’t (over) easy, so we’re here to help by sharing a few reasons why the grass is greener at Vital Farms. We think you’ll appreciate our focus on Conscious Capitalism, which drives business decisions that benefit all our stakeholders (leading to even better business results). You might be drawn to our innovative approach and refusal to settle for the “way things have always been done.” Or you could find it exciting to grow your skills while working for an industry-leading brand. Whether you’re into our values, our brand, or our egg-cellent puns, we hope you’ll join our Crew and help us change the world 108 square feet at a time!

At Vital Farms, we’re proud of the diverse communities we serve and the stakeholders who help bring our purpose to life. We’re committed to fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment where every crew member feels valued. We see this as one of our greatest strengths - and your role is key to helping us build on it.

Your Role:

The Manager, Events will lead the strategy, planning, and execution of company-wide events that strengthen culture, engagement, and connection across Vital Farms. This role sets the bar for a “Best-in-class attendee experience”; anticipating needs, elevating details, and delivering thoughtful, seamless, and memorable events that feel uniquely Vital Farms. The Manager, Events will serve as the strategic lead and primary point-of-contact for organizational events, overseeing end-to-end planning, ensuring consistent standards, guiding the Events Coordinator, and collaborating with leaders to translate business needs into impactful experiences.

What You'll Do:

Strategic Leadership & Experience Design

  • Develop and own Vital Farms’ enterprise-wide events strategy, ensuring events reinforce our culture, brand, and Crew Member experience.
  • Ensure all events have the right amount of executive and cross-functional input and oversight so that events deliver measurable impact, align to our brand and culture, create an exceptional Crew Member experience and advance our business goals.
  • Establish and uphold a high-touch, hospitality-driven customer experience standard (“A seamless, polished, and intentionally designed experience”) across all events, communications, and onsite interactions.
  • Partner with event sponsors to understand business goals and translate those into intentional event concepts, formats, and outcomes.
  • Develop an 18-month events roadmap working collaboratively and cross-functionally with business leaders to understand needs, priorities and milestones.
  • Create and put into practice the standards, processes, templates, and ways of working based on event type and complexity to support successful, scalable, and repeatable event execution.

Event Planning & Execution

  • Lead the planning and execution of large-scale events—including company-wide gatherings, culture events, Crew celebrations, leadership offsites, and hybrid/virtual experiences.
  • Own key planning elements such as venue selection, experience design, agenda structure, A/V strategy, décor, run-of-show, and high-level logistics.
  • Serve as the primary on-site leader during events as needed, ensuring seamless execution, resolving issues quickly, and maintaining a polished attendee experience.
  • Oversee and support the Events Coordinator in their role, providing guidance, direction, and day-to-day prioritization.

Project & Stakeholder Management

  • Develop event scopes, objectives, timelines, and detailed project plans for each event.
  • Facilitate cross-functional alignment with event sponsors, IT, Marketing and Communications, People Team, Finance, and external partners to ensure clarity and execution excellence.
  • Drive regular planning meetings and status updates to ensure all partners are informed, aligned, and accountable.
  • Lead post-event debriefs, synthesizing feedback, insights, and improvements to elevate future events.

Vendor & Budget Oversight

  • Build and manage relationships with key vendors including venues, caterers, hotels, production companies, facilitators, and transportation partners.
  • With partnership from the procurement and legal teams, negotiate contracts, manage proposals, and ensure services meet Vital Farms’ quality expectations.
  • Own the event budget, ensuring accurate forecasting, tracking, and thoughtful cost management.
  • Identify opportunities to elevate experiences while optimizing spend and maintaining strong ROI.

Crew Experience & Communication

  • Partner with the Communications team to craft communication plans related to events—including invitations, briefing documents, FAQs, pre-event materials, and post-event follow-ups.
  • Ensure events are inclusive, accessible, and thoughtfully designed for a distributed workforce.
  • Monitor attendee sentiment and feedback, identifying patterns and recommendations for continuous improvement.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in event management, employee experience, hospitality, corporate events, or related fields.
  • Demonstrated success leading mid- to large-scale events and designing high-touch experiences.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate business goals into event outcomes and plans.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management abilities—comfortable managing multiple projects, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • A polished, service-oriented approach with sharp attention to detail and a commitment to excellence in every stage of planning and execution.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills; able to influence and partner with leaders at all levels.
  • Experience managing budgets, negotiating vendor contracts, and overseeing event operations.
  • Ability to lead others, provide direction, and model strong planning standards.
  • Ability to travel 25-35% to event locations and team offsites
  • You’re no hero – You know the power of teamwork and celebrate the work of others before your own.
  • You give a sh*t – You believe in acting like an owner and making Vital Farms a place to be proud of.
  • You raise the standards – You know growth can be hard, but you strive to improve yourself and others each day.
  • You can walk in someone else’s boots – You seek to understand other’s viewpoints and think that you get to better answers by sitting on the same side of the table.
  • You don’t walk on eggshells – You’re not afraid to leave the bullsh*t behind and have honest conversations.
  • We recognize that talent comes in many forms. Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we encourage you to apply. You may have strengths we haven’t yet considered!

What We Bring to the Table:

  • A fast-paced, energetic, remote environment with passionate people who are leading a movement to bring ethically produced food to the table.
  • Competitive pay and benefits (Medical, Dental, Vision, and Paid Parental Leave, just to name a few).
  • Generous retirement contributions: 401(k) + 3% Contribution from Day 1.
  • Free eggs and butter (yes, really!), along with friends and family discounts.
  • Fun team SWAG that will make you the talk of the town.
  • Professional development opportunities and an amazing team dedicated to your growth.

At Vital Farms, compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors, which may include, but are not limited to, skill level, experience, education, training, market demands, and business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current starting annual base salary for this position is $90,000 - $100,000.
