Job Description:

Reporting to the VP Sales, North America, the Sales Manager will be responsible for generating and managing their own pipeline with targets to grow Afinitas Equipment and Automation (E&A) market presence, margin, profits and reputation. The Sales Manager will ideally reside in Houston or Dallas, TX and support the Midwestern US territory.

This role works both externally and internally to help identify opportunities to strengthen E&A’s overall value proposition, as well as constant monitoring of current sales funnel to develop strategy and metrics to deliver future growth, whilst achieving company sales revenue goals & budgets within territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strong knowledge of the E&A product line capabilities and services to establish a compelling, customer specific, value-added solution, through an inquisitive and consultative selling process, to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations.

  • Cultivate and maintain meaningful relationships with our customers, delivering product information and insights to address their needs and increase sales potential.

  • Collaborate with VP Sales to create and execute regional and territory plans for our product lines, ensuring targeted outreach to existing and potential customers.

  • Continuously seek out new sales opportunities with existing customers and new potential customers, understand their needs and problems, develop a tailored solution, building trust that Afinitas is a trusted long-term supplier.

  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports in the company’s CRM system.

  • Proactively identify new potential customers outside of our standard core customer group to promote existing and new product lines to the North America markets

  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and working together with other company departments to solve the issues.

  • Facilitate product demonstrations and provide assistance in identifying and qualifying opportunities.

  • Effectively make recommendations concerning market trends, competitive products, and pricing.

  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information and relaying it to management.

  • Willingness to travel extensively to maintain contact with the company’s customer base.

  • Provide detailed information regarding customer requirements, specifications, applications, and other customer needs so that accurate and timely sales proposals are produced for the customer as requested.

  • Promote the availability of company services (such as spare parts, training and field service) to customers to increase sales.

  • Maintain records and reports regarding all phases of activities as required.

  • Portray enthusiastic attitude and represent the company’s values to the market.

  • Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously; able to handle shifting priorities and deadlines; able to properly prioritize.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Associate Degree or bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum five years sales-related experience or have demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.

  • Ideally have experience working with capital equipment manufacturing.

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal communication and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to maintain and build customer relationships.

  • Goal oriented and driven to become an impactful contributor to the business.

  • Organizational and time management skills.

  • Skilled at growing existing customer base and adding new customers in established markets

  • Willingness to accept a challenge and inclined to take initiative.

  • Self-managing and ability to execute sales strategies.

  • Experienced growing sales territory through selling the entire product offering

  • Creative thinker and eager learner.

  • Detailed oriented, technically adept and computer proficient with MS Office Products, CRM packages, AutoCAD viewer.

At Afinitas, we believe in rewarding excellence, and your hard work will be duly recognized and appreciated. The compensation for this role will consist of a competitive base salary with a range between $95,000 - $105,000 commensurate with experience and geographical location plus high earning potential in uncapped commissions in addition to a robust benefits package.
