HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

BSN SPORTS is currently seeking a Senior SAP Functional Analyst to join our growing team at our Farmers Branch, TX headquarters. The Senior SAP Functional Analyst will be called upon to build relationships with functional users in order to gather and help refine requirements, perform analysis of requirements to determine the best solution for the user, create functional specifications and programming specifications, communicate specifications to programmers, design and create test scripts, support business owner acceptance testing, plan and coordinate go-live and post go-live activities. Additionally, the candidate will support end users and business owners by handling questions, requests, and troubleshooting potential problems. This position requires close partnering with all business functions and the IT organization. 

The Senior SAP Senior Functional Analyst will report to the Director of SAP Services and will support operations by ensuring the highest level of data integrity, governance, and service to internal customers. 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Senior functional analysts are responsible to design functional and technical solutions that achieve the requirements provided by the business process owners, within the context of the strategy defined by the Functional Director and Lead Functional Analyst. 
  • Validate functional tests are comprehensive, providing coverage for all functionalities being implemented. Senior functional analysts are responsible for identifying all the tests needed to validate the intended functionality of the solutions they design. This includes positive, negative, and regression tests provided to the IT QA team and the business user testing teams. 
  • Mentoring by providing guidance to Business Analysts and Functional Analysts for functional and technical solutions implemented in SAP. 
  • Support all related Master Data within SAP. 
  • Assesses and determines tools, resources, and system requirements to execute all related functions. 
  • Partner with business functional leaders to gather requirements. 
  • Support business owner acceptance testing. 
  • Plan and coordinate go-live and post go-live activities. 
  • Collaborates closely with business stakeholders of all levels in support of existing applications. 
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned by the Functional Director. 

SAP FICO Solution Delivery 

  • Configure and support SAP FI and CO modules, including: 
  • General Ledger (GL) 
  • Accounts Payable (AP) 
  • Accounts Receivable (AR) 
  • Asset Accounting (AA) 
  • Cost Center Accounting 
  • Profit Center Accounting 
  • Product Costing 
  • Profitability Analysis (CO-PA) 
  • Analyze business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions. 
  • Develop functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW). 
  • Collaborate with developers during design, testing, and deployment. 

Integration & Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Work closely with teams supporting: 
  • SAP MM 
  • SAP SD 
  • SAP PP 
  • Tax 
  • Ensure accurate integration between financial and operational processes. 
  • Support third-party financial systems and interfaces.

  • Strong leader who partners effectively with cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute information strategies while balancing day-to-day execution, delivering commitments, and driving continuous process improvement

Education, Certification and Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree in information sciences, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or relevant experience
  • Minimum of (5) five years of progressive work experience on the SAP platform; focused experience in the Senior Functional Analyst role
  • Knowledge of programming and/or debugging skills
  • Intermediate / advanced Microsoft Office product experience (e.g., MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Visio, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, and MS Outlook)
  • SAP ECC EHP8 Finance experience
  • SAP FICO certification
  • Experience with SAP Order to Cash process
  • Experience with Stripe, SAP Digital Payments Add-on, BlackLine, Concur, Vertex, High Radius, VIM, or other finance applications
  • Experience in retail, consumer products, or distribution industries
