ROLE SUMMARY: The Social Media + Creative Content Marketing Intern supports the Marketing Team in bringing brand stories to life through social media, digital marketing, and creative content initiatives. This role assists with content creation, social media management, photography and video coordination, brand storytelling, and marketing projects across a portfolio of hospitality, dining, and lifestyle brands.  

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  

  • Assist with planning, creating, scheduling, and publishing social media content across multiple digital platforms.  

  • Capture photo and video content for social media, including events, food and beverage offerings, guest experiences, behind-the-scenes moments, and Team Member features.  

  • Edit and produce short-form video and visual content that aligns with brand standards and marketing objectives.  

  • Research social media trends, emerging platforms, content formats, and best practices to support brand growth and engagement.  

  • Monitor social media channels and assist with community engagement, including comments, direct messages, tags, and user-generated content.  

  • Maintain content calendars and support the organization of upcoming content needs and marketing initiatives.  

  • Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of photography and video shoots.  

  • Support creative production activities, including vendor coordination, scheduling, shot list development, styling, and asset organization.  

  • Source and coordinate props, products, wardrobe items, and other materials needed for content creation projects.  

  • Draft and communicate project details, timelines, and logistics to stakeholders to ensure successful content execution.  

  • Conduct research and gather inspiration for marketing campaigns, seasonal promotions, events, and brand initiatives.  

  • Organize and maintain digital asset libraries, including photo, video, and creative resources.  

  • Assist with content capture and marketing support during events, activations, and special experiences.  

  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas that support marketing goals and brand awareness.  

  • Track and report on social media performance metrics, identifying content opportunities and trends.  

  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to support marketing and content initiatives.  

  • Support additional marketing projects, campaigns, and administrative duties as assigned.  

  • Uphold confidentiality, professionalism, and brand standards in all communications and interactions.  

  • Maintain professionalism and adaptability while managing multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

  • All other duties as assigned. 

ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to work in a professional office, hospitality, and event environment.  

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout hotel, restaurant, and event spaces for extended periods.  

  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs.  

  • Ability to use a computer, smartphone, camera equipment, and other technology required to perform job duties. 

  • Comfortable working in indoor and outdoor environments with varying temperatures, noise levels, and activity levels. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Availability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week throughout the internship term. 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field. 

  • Strong interest in social media marketing, content creation, hospitality, food and beverage, travel, lifestyle, or entertainment industries. 

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. 

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. 

  • Proficiency with major social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. 

  • Comfortable capturing high-quality photo and video content using a smartphone or similar device.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Previous internship, coursework, campus involvement, or experience related to marketing, communications, social media, or content creation. 

  • Familiarity with hospitality, restaurant, tourism, entertainment, or lifestyle brands.
