- Partner with Product, SOC, and Operations to align priorities and remove blockers
- Report to the Director of Engineering on roadmap progress, risks, and team health
- Collaborate with the Director of Engineering on planning and initiative prioritization
- Break down high-level initiatives into epics, stories, and actionable tasks
- Translate strategic goals into predictable team execution and velocity
- Ensure alignment between engineering efforts and broader business objectives
- Contribute directly to code in critical areas to unblock teams and drive progress
- Provide architecture guidance, code reviews, and technical direction
- Maintain a high-quality engineering bar across the stack (Node.js/TypeScript, Python, AWS)
- Support system design and scalability for multiple products
Requirements
- 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend fundamentals
- 2+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams (formal or informal)
- Proficiency in Node.js/TypeScript or Python, with ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Experience building and operating systems in AWS or cloud-native environments
- Demonstrated track record of shipping production software successfully
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Operations, and customer
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future. PDI Technologies is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in cybersecurity or SOC environments (SIEM, MDR, vulnerability management, firewalls)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow or ITSM integrations
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL processes, and analytics systems
- Exposure to AI/ML tools, LLMs, or Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- Experience managing remote or distributed teams across time zones

This includes a competitive salary, market-competitive benefits, and a quarterly perks program. We encourage a good work-life balance with ample time off [time away] and, where appropriate, hybrid working arrangements.
