The Professional Services Deployment Team is responsible for integration and deployment of Patient Messaging products and services within the Technical Services group. They work closely with the Quality Assurance team and Development Team, as well as the Professional Services Project Management Team.

As a Professional Services Software Deployment Engineer III, you will be working closely with our team, as well as cross-functionally alongside Product Management & Development to learn new products, methodologies, how our products work within pharmacies, and how our solutions assist pharmacies in engaging their patients to enhance their customer experience.  You will work with pharmacy and health plan clients to assist the installation of our messaging solutions and provide additional customization as required. You will also serve as an escalation point for Levels I, II Engineers, QA Engineers, and Customer Support. 

Working knowledge of the solutions we provide will allow you to work through projects and their processes without supervision. Additionally, you will work closely with Product Management and Development to improve our existing GA products and creation of new products, by participating in Beta rollouts. Your feedback would be incorporated into the overall product design.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Subject matter expert and product consultant 

  • Execute on all aspects of complex software implementation projects and other assignments. 

  • Provide input on project scope, forecast, resources, and deliverables within specified deadlines while continuously assessing the client’s ability to change relative to the agreed scope 

  • Work directly with the client project management team throughout all project phases 

  • Conduct customer virtual project calls as needed 

  • Proactively identify significant project risks, work with project lead to develop mitigation strategies, escalate to leadership, and implement approved mitigation steps

  • Attend project update stand up meetings with the client and project team

  • Review documentation and verify customer assets to provide reliable BI to all departments in the organization

  • Deploys applications which run on a variety of server operating systems such as Microsoft Windows, UNIX, and Linux

  • Installs and configures databases and deploy web products to clients

  • Installs, configures, and tests all components to the expected revisions and performance standards

  • Act as a trusted client resource by providing service that consistently demonstrates strong product knowledge and work ethic along with respect for the client

  • Manage and prioritize multiple tasks while working independently

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills with a wide range of clients, both internal and external

  • Follow existing deployment processes, identify process improvements, document specific process/project requirements for customers, and system configurations

  • Partner with project managers to diligently maintain all records in a central repository for ease of reference during and after deployment

  • Facilitate technical discussions, be able to resolve high-level project issues

  • Lead technical tasks to resolve issues, track bug fixes, escalate persistent and/or critical issues during the deployment process

  • Utilize strong influence and persuasion skills to reset expectations to project changes as needed - across all parties.

  • Detail-oriented, independent and able to adjust to changing priorities 

  • Proven track record of success in managing multiple projects/multiple presentation deadlines at one time 

  • Experience with Linux/Unix/Windows, and with Postgres database as well as installing applications on Windows or Linux servers

  • Working knowledge of server hardware and network configurations, web server technology, and SSL security

  • Experience with SaaS technologies such as microservices, docker/containers, and Kubernetes and proficiency with Bash/Ruby

  • Proficiency with software tools like Confluence, Jira, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Slack used to divide complex projects into related sub-tasks, manage critical path tasks, and track resources, deadlines, and milestones

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • College degree in a Computer Systems related field

  • Three years of demonstrated work experience in healthcare / pharmacy

  • In lieu of College Degree, applicants must meet all following requirements: High School Diploma/GED, Technical Certification in Information Systems / Technology, a minimum three years’ systems engineering experience within a healthcare technology or pharmacy systems

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Computer Systems related field 

  • 3+ years of demonstrate project management work experience in healthcare / pharmacy 

  • Pharmacy or clinical operations work experience 

  • Experience with effectively presenting technical information to leadership 

  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Strong Linux skills

  • High degree of competence in Bash and Shell

  • Ability to shift from one project to another in an agile work environment

  • Kubernetes distros such as OpenShift, RKE2 and/or Tanzu

  • Experience with Gitlab, Jenkins, Artifactory

  • Experience with server and or desktop virtualization

  • Virtualization Infrastructure Experience with VMware or similar virtualization tools

  • Networking experience – TCP/IP, DNS, NetBIOS, switching, routing, VLANs

  • Experience with at least one public cloud environment, such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure

 

Working Conditions 

  • Working across multiple time zones 

  • Up to 10% travel 

  • May be required to stand or sit for long periods of time
