Data privacy management company Osano has announced its acquisition of WireWheel, a provider of enterprise data privacy solutions. Aiming to simplify data privacy management for organizations of all sizes, the acquisition will fully integrate WireWheel’s privacy assessment tools into the Osano platform.
WireWheel’s assessment solutions automate the data auditing process, identify privacy risks, create regulatory documentation and generate actionable reports. The integration of these tools will also benefit companies pursuing AI initiatives using corporate data models by ensuring the scrubbing of private information from datasets.
Arlo Gilbert, Osano’s CEO, stated that the acquisition will deliver major advantages for enterprise customers, providing scalability, customizability and advanced features to deploy data privacy programs at scale. This acquisition is the first in a series of strategic acquisitions planned by Osano to expand its platform and grow its global footprint. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
