GE Vernova is looking for an exceptional Senior Sales and Business Development Manager UK to join our Northern Europe Commercial team for Onshore Wind based in the UK

Role Overview

As the Senior Sales and Business Development Manager for the UK, you will lead the identification, evaluation, and conversion of Onshore Wind opportunities. By leveraging expert commercial judgment and cross-functional collaboration with Commercial Operations, Technical Marketing, and Product Management, you will shape market strategy, structure complex deals, and serve as the primary interface for our customers to strengthen GE Vernova’s market leadership.

Your Impact

  • Secure High-Value Deals: Identify, qualify, and convert commercial opportunities, balancing market competitiveness with prudent risk management.
  • Drive Growth Strategy: Deliver short-term results while building long-term pipelines through strategic development in both established and emerging regions.
  • Lead Strategic Relationships: Act as the primary interface for key accounts up to senior management level, fostering trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Influence Market Direction: Represent GE Vernova in UK industry associations to advocate for our strategic interests and shape policy.
  • Manage Complex Bids: Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to align project budgets, technical offerings, and internal approvals with transaction timelines.
  • Develop Competitive Solutions: Use robust market analysis to identify partners and structure innovative commercial offerings that sharpen our competitive edge.
  • Drive Integrated Solutions: Collaborate across GE Vernova to deliver global energy solutions, influencing internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Expand Regional Reach: Support business development initiatives across Northern Europe as market opportunities emerge.

What Success Looks Like in This Role

The ideal candidate is a commercially astute, technically grounded leader with proven windsector experience, capable of influencing senior stakeholders, managing complex deadlines and budgets, and representing the business with empathy, confidence, and frequent travel.

  • Brings essential prior experience in the wind industry, ideally with solid technical and commercial understanding.
  • Demonstrates strong stakeholder management skills, able to communicate clearly, influence effectively, and build trust at all organisational levels.
  • Comfortable leading a cross-functional bidding team, showing natural leadership qualities grounded in empathy, sound judgement, and collaborative decision‑making.
  • Proven ability to work to strict deadlines while managing budgets, commercial priorities, and multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Confident engaging with senior external partners and internal executives, including navigating complex or sensitive discussions.
  • Willing and able to travel regularly to support customers, partners, and regional business needs.
  • Adaptable, self‑driven, and capable of representing the organisation across diverse markets while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and integrity.
