How The WordPress Media Library Works, March 20 at 7 p.m.

The Austin WordPress Meetup Group will discuss the importance of good photos, icons, logos and more while using WordPress during this workshop. Topics include uploading media in pages and posts, resizing images, creating thumbnails and the value of the alt tag and captions for both Accessibility and SEO. The focus of this meetup will be on native WordPress functionality rather than third-party plugins. Please bring your laptops and your questions for a Q&A that will follow.

Dine + Dash: Pizza and Code for Beginners, March 21 at 6:30 p.m.

General Assembly is hosting this free event to learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Join other hackers to work alongside online tutorials. You'll gain a deeper understanding of front-end web development, in addition to some networking and building something awesome along the way. This will be a casual, self-paced session with pizza and beer.

Kendra Scott Gives Back Party, March 23 at 6 p.m.

ChickTech Austin is hosting a party at Kendra Scott on N. Lamar, where 20 percent of all the purchases made between 6 and 8 p.m. will benefit ChickTech. Come by and learn about ChickTech and check out some jewelry. Drinks and treats will be served. 

Civic Hack Saturday, March 25 at 9 a.m.

Civic Hack Saturday is a hands-on meetup for “hackers" interested in contributing to civic apps. Developers, designers, writers, data analyst, policy wonks and people of all skill levels are encouraged to attend. This meetup will be held at Chicon Collective. Please bring a laptop and be prepared to work. If you have any project ideas or are looking for a civic project to work on, see here.

Product Management Bootcamp, March 25 at 9 a.m.

This workshop will focus on how to use the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) philosophy to test and validate your ideas with the least amount of work required. The ultimate goal is to get to product/market fit. Take your idea and get moving in the right direction quickly and efficiently. The second portion of the workshop will focus on how to identify the right metrics and KPIs to guide your product to continued success. Please bring a laptop.
