Intro to JavaScript, July 10 at 6 p.m.

Dev Bootcamp invites beginner JavaScript coders to join them for this week's introductory session. Learn the basics of the JavaScript language and how to use it to communicate with the HTML/CSS on a web page. By the end of this class, attendees will be able to create a dynamic web page. Bring your laptop and plan for some complimentary pizza.

AVW July Happy Hour, July 11 at 6 p.m.

Head over to Stay Gold with other remote employees located here in town for July’s Austin Virtual Workers Happy Hour. Freelancers, entrepreneurs and telecommuters are encouraged to attend. This is in conjunction with the monthly Austin Marketers Happy Hour.

Accelerated Networking Event, July 12 at 11:30 a.m.

eWomen Network will host an accelerated networking event at Estancia Churrascaria with speaker Brittani Nelson. Nelson, the director of eWomen Network and owner of The Business Matchmaker, will speak on finding mentors and how to become one.

Austin TechBreakfast: Well Beyond Care, SeriesX, IOVIO, Muxy, July 13 at 8 a.m.

Capital Factory’s monthly tech breakfast will be held this Thursday. The free event will include showcases from Jeffrey Fry of Well Beyond Care, Dave Hendricks of SeriesX, Alberto Jimenez of IOVIO, and Jared Steffes of Muxy.

Successful Programming Contracting - Lessons From the Pros, July 13 at 7 p.m.

Video Game Makers Unite will meet Thursday evening at Capital Factory to host a panel on operating as a contractor in the gaming profession. Industry veterans Jason Hughes, Tess Snyder, Dr. Cat and Tony Bratton are the featured panelists.
