Built In Brews at Procore, Jan. 18 at 5:30 p.m.

Procore Technologies continues to expand its local office. Join us for the first Built In Brews of the year to get a glimpse into what working at Procore is like and learn more about the opportunities available. Our Built In Brews event is a monthly networking happy hour hosted by local, high-growth tech companies. Attendees must be 21 years or older to attend. Get your tickets here!

 

Founders Academy, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m.

Join this five-day lunch and learn session to help prep for the launch of your own startup. The curriculum was designed to include the fundamental insights and tools that will help ensure success when entering the market. Every session will be held at Capital Factory on the 16th floor and begin at 11:15 a.m. Please bring your lunch.

 

Austin Virtual Workers Happy Hour, Jan. 16 at 6 p.m.

Head to Rio Rita’s on the East Side this Tuesday for the first Austin Virtual Workers Happy Hour of 2018. The Austin Marketing Happy Hour will also be taking place at this time. Oliver Whitham, WP Engine’s online marketing manager, is hosting this event.

 

An Evening of Python Coding, Jan. 16 at 6:30 p.m.

The Austin Python Meetup will gather at Galvanize this Tuesday evening for its monthly meetup. Python coders of all levels are encouraged to attend. This is a great opportunity to seek help on an existing project or collaborate on a new one. This session’s focus will be on Pandas. BYOL (bring your own laptop).

 

Amazon Alexa Skills Workshop, Jan. 18 at 6 p.m.

Austin Data Science will meet at Galvanize on Thursday night for a workshop on how to become an Amazon Alexa developer. During the session, attendees will review the Alexa Skills Kit, basic concepts that include intents, utterances and slots, building your first skill, leveraging AWS Lamboda, and how to get certified.
