Career Pivots & Side Hustles - How to Create the Life You Want, June 26 at 6 p.m.

Team Austin invites you to WeWork on W. 6th for a speaker series on how to achieve what you're actually passionate about doing in life. The panel's speakers include Daron Roberts, the founding director of UT Center for Sports Leadership & Innovation; Ashley Jennings, the program manager at UT Herb Kelleher Center for Entrepreneurship and co-founder of Spero Labs; Steve Oliverez, founder and CMO of InsanelyCheapFlights.com; and moderator Nick Black, co-founder of Team Austin and founder and CMO of MassConvert.

 

5G and the Future of Wireless in Austin, June 27 at 6 p.m.

The Austin Tech Alliance and the Texas 5G Alliance invite you to join them at the downtown Google Fiber Space on Wednesday for a discussion on the future of wireless technology. The evening will include a panel discussion led by John Howard, Dell’s director of government affairs and public policy. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

 

Austin Online Marketing for Entrepreneurs June Meetup, June 27 at 6:30 p.m.

Head to Capital Factory this Wednesday night for June’s Austin Online Marketing for Entrepreneurs meetup. Meet other entrepreneurs from the Austin tech community looking to grow their online presences and learn about best practices for AdWords, email marketing, SEO, affiliate programs and more.

 

Scaling Up for Female Entrepreneurs: Growth Strategies & How to Deal with Head Trash, June 29 at 9 a.m.

Juletta Broomfield and Lisa Foulger will host a workshop this Friday morning to help female entrepreneurs scale their businesses. Attendees will learn about how to work on their businesses rather than in their businesses, how to scale without drama, increase company cash, achieve better profitability and manage “head trash” along the way.

 

ATXRHACK: A Visualization Technology Hackathon, June 29 at 5 p.m.

Walmart Technology, located off Colorado Street, invites you for an immersive technology hackathon this Friday. Sponsors of the event will present their challenges at the start of the event. Then, participants will break off into teams to take on those issues using augmented reality, virtual reality or mixed reality. Sponsors include Walmart Technology, Galvanize, Intel Software, Underminer Studios, Z3VR and occipital.
