For the third year in a row, the Austin IT software firm SolarWinds has been named to Fortune's list of the 100 fastest-growing companies in the U.S.

This comes as part of a wave of accolades for the company. SolarWinds was recently recognized by Software Magazine for its revenue growth, by Database Trends and Application Magazine for its products, and by the Austin Chamber of Commerce for its corporate culture. O. C. Tanner, which develops employee rewards programs and recognition strategies, named SolarWinds among its '10 Coolest Companies to Work for in Austin,' citing its flexibility and its distinctly Silicon Hills values.

Founded in 1999 in Austin, SolarWinds provides enterprise information technology infrastructure management and now has operations on four continents. It is noted for its user community, called thwack, which provides it with a feedback system.

"We are honored to be recognized by the industry with these accolades. At SolarWinds, we work closely with our thwack user community listening to their feedback so we can provide IT Pros with the best possible products to conquer network, systems, and web application performance issues," said Suaad Sait, the company's executive vice president for products and markets, in a statement.

"These recent awards recognizing SolarWinds for consistent performance and providing superior products to IT Pros are a welcome acknowledgement from the IT and business community that we're staying true to these core values," Sait said. "It is also a pleasure to receive local recognition for the culture that we create for our employees who work tirelessly behind the scenes to develop, support, and promote IT management products to help users do their jobs more effectively and efficiently."
