The Assistant Controller owns monthly financial close, audit-ready reporting, SaaS revenue recognition, deferred revenue schedules, reconciliations, and variance analysis. The role supports audits, GAAP compliance, internal controls, EBITDA normalization, process improvements, and accounting system enhancements. It partners with the Controller and CFO in a growth-stage environment and mentors junior accounting staff. The position is hybrid in Austin, with three office days weekly.

The Assistant Controller will oversee financial reporting, maintain internal controls, and automate accounting processes while partnering with the finance team and external auditors.

Supports corporate accounting and financial operations, including general ledger, revenue recognition, billing, financial reporting, audits, tax, treasury, GAAP compliance, and internal controls. Partners across Finance, Sales, and Revenue Operations to improve order-to-cash processes and systems. Supports ERP enhancements, accounting policy implementation, process automation, M&A integrations, financial carve-outs, KPI development, and accounting team mentoring.

Support the Controller by supervising accounting functions (AP, payroll, receivables, job cost, GL), preparing budgets and forecasts, ensuring GAAP compliance, coordinating audits, approving expenditures, and implementing controls across the division.

Serve as client-facing accounting lead supporting month-end close, reconciliations, audit preparation, clean-up, M&A integration, and financial reporting.
