Founded in 2011 by two ski buddies in their SF apartments, Huckberry is a 21st century men's retailer. Our mission is to inspire and equip adventures near and far, and our vision is to be the most loved lifestyle brand for active and adventurous guys. There were already men’s stores, sure. Adventure magazines, too. Yet nothing out there spoke directly to Andy and Rich, our co-founders — guys who lived in the city but lived for adventure — and they envisioned a retail experience that was equal parts store, magazine, and inspiration. So they quit their jobs, invested their life savings, and set out to scratch their own itch. Ten years later, Huckberry is still independent and fueled by the same founding four core beliefs: Discovery and adventure are core to the human spirit The future is being written by Davids, not Goliaths You don’t buy products, you buy what you believe in We have an obligation to leave the world better than we found it That’s why Huckberry is a shot to the arm of actionable inspiration, why we highlight more emerging brands than established ones, why we use our platform to support causes we believe in, and why at least one of our employees is probably traveling around the world on a sabbatical right now. Here’s to hoping Huckberry will inspire a new adventure of your own. SEE YOU OUT THERE.

Melissa was always a DIY girl. She grew up with a mom who always made homemade play dough and birthday cakes, and sewed her dance costumes. So Melissa started sewing at a very young age. In the spring of 2010 she was 5 months pregnant with a little girl. At a routine doctor's visit, she was suddenly given the devastating news that without surgical intervention she would give birth to her daughter within 24 hours and she would not survive. Melissa was rushed into emergency surgery to try to save her, and spent the remainder of her pregnancy in the hospital on strict bedrest. The days were incredibly LONG, and since she couldn't even sit up, she just had to do something with her hands! She started with a vision to crochet this tiny baby girl a blanket. And thus began and spurred her desire to sew. For two weeks she was hospitalized until doctors couldn't stop the labor any longer. Their very tiny, but oh-so-perfect, baby girl was born. With lungs not yet developed enough to survive on her own, the Lord took her straight to Heaven. Though heart-wrenching and devastating, we truly believe that out of this great tragedy has come our greatest victory. Her love for sewing and all things knit continued to grow. In late fall of 2011, she made her 1st pair of lacey leg warmers. Everywhere she went, people would stop and ask her where she got them. She put them for sale online and within days she was overwhelmed with orders she couldn't possibly fulfill herself! Today, Grace and Lace has become a full-blown women’s apparel company with trademarked designs, a full studio and warehouse, and friends and family as staff. A portion of every sale goes toward building orphanages in India! It has been an exciting journey and we are beyond grateful for the many doors that have opened for us over the years. We are also incredibly grateful to have the most amazing mentors and team members, and loyal customers who keep coming back for more. We are humbled, grateful, and blessed!

We set out to build a cooler without compromise -- one that would stand up to all the abuse we could throw at it. Turns out we weren’t alone in our frustration with cheap gear. Ten years and a few more compromise-free products later, and we’re one of the fastest growing brands in the outdoor industry.

Neuralink is a team of exceptionally talented people. We are creating the future of brain-machine interfaces: building devices now that will help people with paralysis and inventing new technologies that will expand our abilities, our community, and our world. Our goal is to build a system with at least two orders of magnitude more communication channels (electrodes) than current clinically-approved devices. This system needs to be safe, it must have fully wireless communication through the skin, and it has to be ready for patients to take home and use on their own. Our device, called the Link, will be able to record from 1024 electrodes and is designed to meet these criteria.

Unit 410 is an experienced team of security, infrastructure, and cryptocurrency engineers. We empower the largest stakeholders to use their crypto in secure and novel ways. To do so, we build institutional-grade systems and solutions for secure network participation. Before Unit 410, we’ve worked at companies like Coinbase, Google, and NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. We’ve long believed in the potential of cryptocurrency and are excited to continue pushing forward the state of the art through industry-leading key generation, encryption, and network participation. As we engineer systems and solutions, we often find pieces that we think should exist. So we build them, and whenever possible share those back with the community.
