Develop and extend low-level diagnostics and stress-testing software for next-generation AI SoCs. Build configurable validation tools covering CPUs, AI accelerators, memory, PCIe, storage, firmware, BMC, and other platform components. Investigate hardware failures, silent data corruption, timing issues, and system instability across multiple silicon revisions and environments. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, and validation teams to improve observability, fault isolation, silicon bring-up, and platform reliability.

Diagnose thermal, power, networking, BIOS, and BMC issues; develop validation documentation and troubleshooting procedures; collaborate with engineering and data center teams; and mentor junior staff while supporting critical deployments and on-call activities.

Develop system-level diagnostic and stress-testing software for next-generation AI SoCs. Build configurable tools that validate CPUs, memory, interconnects, PCIe, firmware, storage, and other platform components; expose intermittent failures and silent data corruption; automate validation across server and rack-scale environments; and improve hardware observability and fault isolation. Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, and validation teams during silicon bring-up and platform reliability efforts.

Lead end-to-end hardware and firmware security architecture for Arm-based AI server platforms. Define trusted computing, secure boot, attestation, cryptographic key management, lifecycle controls, interface security, and threat mitigations across silicon, firmware, virtualization, and system software. Translate security goals into engineering requirements, guide cross-functional teams, evaluate emerging threats, and protect AI models, data, workloads, and intellectual property from remote, physical, side-channel, and supply-chain attacks.

Define and deploy board- and system-level manufacturing test strategies for high-volume server production. Develop ICT/MDA/board functional tests, fixtures, and test infrastructure; drive yield improvement, failure analysis, and corrective actions; partner with ODMs and cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, reliable production testing and factory readiness.

Lead development of system-level test capabilities for multi-die AI processors, managing engineers and defining production, engineering, and characterization test solutions. Collaborate with silicon, test, DFT, manufacturing, and external vendors on fixtures, ATE, board-level testing, thermal control, test correlation, NPI transfer, silicon bring-up, defect identification, and yield improvement. Mentor junior engineers and support volume manufacturing.

Develop and deploy system-level test solutions for AI processors, including test content, automation, diagnostics, characterization, and manufacturing screening. Perform silicon bring-up, voltage/frequency margining, reliability testing, failure analysis, and cross-environment correlation. Develop scripts and tools for test execution, telemetry, analysis, and reporting. Support test hardware, production transfer, manufacturing ramp, and cross-functional collaboration with design, validation, manufacturing, and OSAT teams. Mentor junior engineers and improve test coverage and manufacturability.

Supports the Technical Services team by creating and organizing technical documentation, standard operating procedures, onboarding materials, training content, and knowledge resources for data center engineering environments. Collaborates with subject matter experts, reviews content for accuracy and accessibility, maintains project records, gathers user feedback, and assists with status updates and continuous improvement activities.

Build and lead Graphcore’s SRE organization for a rapidly scaling AI supercomputing platform. Establish the operating model, hire and develop the team, define production readiness and incident-management practices, engineer reliability into compute, networking, storage, and infrastructure systems, and lead major incidents. The role combines organizational leadership with hands-on technical involvement across platform development, troubleshooting, observability, automation, SLOs, and 24x7x365 production operations.
