Assists assurance teams with audit engagements, including applying accounting and auditing standards, preparing working papers, communicating with client stakeholders, conducting accounting or audit research, and presenting findings. The intern receives structured training, supports audit staff, contributes to team discussions, and develops practical experience under experienced professionals.

Prepares tax returns, extensions, quarterly estimates, and simple tax filings under experienced professionals’ supervision. Assists with IRS notice responses, year-end projections, ASC 740 tax accruals, income tax provisions, tax research, and client tax-planning recommendations. The intern monitors tax law developments, communicates their client impact, maintains accurate workpapers and files, and follows firm policies and quality standards while developing professional relationships and practical tax experience.
