The Account Executive will develop business with enterprise clients, generate revenue, manage customer relationships, present proposals, and close sales.

Responsible for supporting enterprise storage sales, assisting customers with evaluations and installations, and providing technical leadership and product specifications within customer accounts.

The Account Executive will manage sales for higher education and SLED accounts, driving sales strategies, building relationships, and managing complex sales cycles.

Provide hands-on technical support and escalations for enterprise storage customers, perform installations/upgrades/field services, troubleshoot Linux/networking/storage issues, manage feature requests/bugs, and collaborate with sales, professional services, and engineering to ensure customer success.

Lead VAST Data’s business development strategy and strategic partnerships across the AI inference and accelerator ecosystem. Build relationships with compute, semiconductor, accelerator, cloud, and infrastructure companies; define joint technical and commercial value propositions; develop reference architectures, solutions, account strategies, co-selling motions, and enterprise go-to-market programs. Coordinate VAST’s sales, product, engineering, solutions, and marketing teams with partner organizations while evaluating emerging technologies and creating structure in an evolving market.

Own and expand VAST Data’s strategic go-to-market partnership with AMD. Build executive, product, alliances, and field relationships; develop joint solutions, reference designs, enablement, and positioning; activate AMD sellers to identify opportunities; connect field teams and generate pipeline; and coordinate internal product, engineering, sales, and technical stakeholders. The role may later expand to additional strategic hardware partnerships.

Support global sales teams through quoting and deal execution across the Quote-to-Cash lifecycle. Responsibilities include configuring quotes, managing pricing and discounts, coordinating cross-functional approvals, ensuring commercial compliance, training sales representatives, resolving deal blockers, and improving sales workflows, controls, cycle time, and data integrity.

Own the technical success of strategic customer deployments from design through production. Collaborate with customer architects, operators, and developers to optimize infrastructure, debug distributed systems and storage issues, build automation and API solutions, and translate operational needs into product improvements. Serve as the customer advocate within engineering while managing high-stakes technical challenges and deployment expectations. Travel or work onsite at customer locations up to 25%.

Drive revenue across Department of Defense customers through prospecting, account development, relationship management, proposals, proof-of-concept support, and post-sale expansion. Build and expand partnerships with systems resellers, integrators, OEMs, FSI organizations, and application partners. Manage customer buying cycles, exceed sales quotas, and position VAST data infrastructure solutions for AI/ML, HPC, Splunk, backup, and edge-computing applications.

The role involves leading VAST's hedge fund strategy, building relationships with industry executives, and developing market intelligence to drive growth and innovation.
