Prepares, monitors, and analyzes operating, grant, and capital budgets for the City of Austin. Develops forecasts, compares actual results with budgeted amounts, tracks performance measures, prepares financial reports, reviews council action requests, conducts research, and provides budgetary guidance and training to departments and stakeholders.

Supports City of Austin financial decision-making through operating, grants, and capital budget preparation, monitoring, forecasting, and reporting. Analyzes financial and performance data, reviews budget documents and council action requests, verifies performance-measure accuracy, conducts special-project research, and communicates with internal and external stakeholders. The role operates under direct supervision and requires a bachelor’s degree, financial analysis skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications preferred.
