Architects and evaluates large-scale, multi-vendor fiber access networks using advanced PON technologies. Integrates access networks with IP/MPLS, core edge routing, and optical transport layers; evaluates OLT and ONT platforms; reviews high-level designs and migration strategies; provides expert troubleshooting and client advisory support; and mentors junior network engineers.

Provide post-award grant compliance and telecom regulatory support for broadband clients: manage financial/reporting requirements, implement compliance frameworks, prepare regulatory filings, liaise with agencies, deliver client training and educational resources, and collaborate internally to solve regulatory and funding challenges.

Manages annual business tax and license renewals, tax exemption applications, registrations, and account maintenance across multiple jurisdictions. Tracks deadlines, documentation, approvals, and outstanding items; communicates with clients and state and local taxing authorities; maintains accurate compliance records and status reporting. Requires strong organization, research, communication, and deadline-management skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and PDF editing tools.

Monitor customer network infrastructure, respond to alarms, manage trouble tickets, perform initial connectivity troubleshooting, and escalate complex incidents. Communicate with customers and internal teams, maintain knowledge-base documentation, improve SOPs, mentor junior analysts, and participate in an on-call rotation. The role requires networking fundamentals, technical support experience, familiarity with monitoring and ticketing systems, strong communication, and careful adherence to procedures.

Communicates with clients and agencies throughout the tax process while maintaining accurate, timely, and compliant filings.

Prepares, reviews, and submits telecommunications regulatory compliance filings to the FCC, state public utility commissions, and other agencies. Coordinates with telecom clients to collect reporting information, analyzes financial and operational data, ensures accurate and timely submissions, and monitors regulatory changes. The role requires strong accounting, telecommunications compliance, utility regulation, mathematical, analytical, organizational, and Microsoft Office skills.

Consult with broadband and telecom clients to analyze business processes, recommend improvements, lead cross-functional projects, develop presentations and workshops, and manage client relationships while supporting up to 20% travel.
