Responsibilities include investigating claims, developing legal theories and defenses, advising corporate clients and claims professionals, conducting legal research, handling discovery and motion practice, and representing clients at depositions, hearings, conferences, trials, regional boards, and courts.

Independently manages moderate-to-high exposure civil litigation and insurance defense matters from assignment through trial or settlement. Responsibilities include legal research, defense strategy, discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and bench or jury trials. The attorney partners with claims adjusters and insured clients, evaluates cases, participates in trial preparation, and mentors junior attorneys. Tennessee Bar admission, civil litigation and insurance defense experience, strong advocacy skills, legal research proficiency, case management software experience, and an acceptable driving record are required.
