Generates new revenue by identifying prospects, qualifying opportunities, developing client relationships, negotiating and closing sales. Provides legal underwriting support and authorization for real estate title insurance commitments and policies in Texas. Advises company personnel, agents, brokers, and customers on title insurance and settlement services, interprets federal and state regulations, develops underwriting guidance, supports regional initiatives, analyzes underwriter performance, and builds business relationships. The role requires a law degree, Texas bar admission or admission in a state within the region, strong judgment, communication, and organizational skills.

Supervises a title production team providing title and escrow services. Ensures service-level agreements, quality standards, productivity metrics, and company procedures are met; audits files, resolves complex title and escrow issues, manages risk and claims concerns, supports customer relations, and provides coaching and training. The role also implements corporate initiatives, promotes employee engagement, and maintains expertise across team functions.

Examines public and private property records to determine ownership, liens, encumbrances, legal descriptions, and title conditions. Prepares title commitments, preliminary title reports, foreclosure reports, and related property products. Reviews complex legal documents and court matters, applies title insurance guidelines, clears exceptions, and communicates requirements to processing and closing teams. Requires title examination experience, knowledge of real estate laws and title practices, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with office and title production software.
