Build and operate secure, resilient distributed systems for secrets and key management across Cloudflare’s global network. Re-architect internal PKI and machine or workload identity systems, participate in on-call incident response, support internal developers, and advise engineering teams on secure system design. The role requires software development, distributed systems expertise, Linux/UNIX administration, and hands-on security implementation experience.

Design and build frontend experiences and components for the Cloudflare dashboard. Collaborate with design and systems engineers, own code from inception to release, and improve developer experience. Debug, optimize, and identify failure modes in large-scale frontend and distributed systems.

Lead the vision, strategy, and roadmap for Cloudflare’s threat intelligence portfolio. Translate emerging threats and attacker tactics into scalable, accurate intelligence capabilities that improve detection and response. Lead complex business operations analyses and cross-functional projects from scoping through operationalization. Design, build, and operate reliable backend services and REST APIs for Cloudflare for SaaS. Scale control-plane systems to support tens of millions of customer domains, improve certificate and domain lifecycle workflows, maintain consistency across distributed services, and strengthen observability and operational reliability. Collaborate with product and engineering teams, document technical decisions, review code, and participate in debugging and incident response.

Own Linux kernel memory-management performance at Cloudflare scale. Diagnose and resolve allocator, virtual memory, reclaim, mapping, locking, and concurrency bottlenecks using production telemetry and low-overhead instrumentation. Develop upstream-quality fixes, contribute to mainline Linux, perform maintainership and review work, collaborate across kernel, networking, storage, and product teams, and set technical direction for memory-management optimization across the fleet.

Leads multi-quarter infrastructure efficiency and engineering reliability programs across Product, Engineering, Capacity, Finance, Data, Security, and Operations. Responsibilities include strategic planning, roadmap and dependency management, executive reporting, stakeholder alignment, risk and tradeoff management, capacity utilization insights, chaos engineering, readiness reviews, remediation tracking, and automation of program administration using AI tools.

Build and scale distributed security tools and services that translate security tradecraft into evidence-based workflows.
