Lead resource alignment meetings, monitor operational KPIs, identify staffing risks and skills gaps, and support workforce planning processes, reporting tools, and strategic initiatives.

Prepare and review complex U.S. international tax filings, apply international tax provisions, and provide inbound and outbound tax consulting. Advise on partnerships, M&A structuring, reorganizations, transfer pricing, and multinational tax planning. Draft technical memoranda, identify risks and opportunities, coordinate with domestic and international tax teams, manage engagement workflows, and respond to client requests.

Audit interns receive hands-on training supporting financial reporting, internal control evaluations, accounting issue analysis, regulatory updates, risk assessment, and operating efficiency improvements. They work with diverse clients and collaborate with audit professionals while developing practical accounting, communication, and client service skills.

Support clients with tax notices, audits, and debt collections by analyzing notices, preparing responses, developing audit defense strategies, negotiating with tax authorities, conducting legal research, drafting appeals and settlement documents, and maintaining client communication while staying current on tax laws.

Leads Aprio’s State Income Tax practice, overseeing strategy, revenue growth, profitability, client service, business development, operations, and talent development. Advises clients on multistate income tax matters including nexus, apportionment, combined reporting, tax planning, compliance, ASC 740, and controversy. The role manages key client relationships, develops scalable processes, monitors financial performance, builds referral networks, and mentors senior tax professionals while driving practice expansion and market leadership.

Leads complex M&A tax engagements, including due diligence, transaction structuring, tax attribute analysis, and post-transaction integration planning. Advises clients on federal and state tax implications, reviews technical deliverables, manages engagement budgets and profitability, and serves as a primary client relationship lead. Supports business development, cross-selling, recruiting, mentoring, training, quality control, and risk management across the M&A specialty tax practice.
