Produce clear user and system documentation for autonomous surface vessels. Work with engineers and stakeholders to translate technical specs into user-friendly guides, maintain docs, ensure adherence to standards (including DoD where applicable), manage multiple documentation projects, and iterate documentation based on feedback.

Design and analyze autonomous surface vessel hull forms, structures, and mechanical systems. Perform hydrodynamic and stability analyses (resistance, propulsion, seakeeping, maneuvering), CAD modeling, weight management, and structural design. Support integration of autonomous navigation/control systems, conduct model testing and validation, participate in design reviews, and produce technical reports and client presentations.

Lead EHS efforts across design, manufacturing, commissioning and testing for autonomous surface vessels. Perform design reviews, FAT/SAT, MOC, risk assessments, program development, and EHS metrics to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous safety improvements.

Coordinate end-to-end procurement and logistics to support production of autonomous surface vessels. Manage purchase orders, inventory control, supplier relationships, shipment tracking, documentation, and continuous improvement to ensure timely, cost-effective material flow and production alignment.

Design and validate shipyard manufacturing systems: create building layouts, define footprints and crane coverage, set square footage and throughput/capacity models, optimize material flow, and collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance to support automation-first production.

Define block-based ship build strategies tied to facility geometry, cranes, and material flow to optimize throughput, pre-outfitting, and facility capacity. Translate vessel class and annual rates into facility requirements, eliminate throughput bottlenecks, and integrate strategy across facilities, heavy lift, manufacturing engineering, and design teams.

Develop and execute multi-channel digital content strategy across social and web. Create and publish written and visual content, translate technical concepts into accessible narratives, manage editorial calendar, collaborate with engineering/product/growth, monitor analytics, and optimize content for engagement and organic amplification.

Lead integration, deployment, and optimization of maritime autonomy systems. Perform field testing, debug cross-disciplinary issues, analyze mission data, architect autonomy capabilities, mentor teams, and author deployment protocols to ensure reliable, scalable autonomous vessel operations.

Work on software for autonomous surface vessels: implement and test navigation, sensor integration, path planning, object detection, and communication protocols; participate in HIL testing and documentation; collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Lead regulatory and litigation work for a defense-focused autonomy company, supporting litigation strategy, regulatory filings (export controls, acquisition), and federal legislative engagement. Advise senior leadership, draft and analyze legislation, engage Congress and agencies, and collaborate cross-functionally on legal, policy, and product issues.
