Own full-cycle recruiting for engineering, hardware, robotics, construction, and field operations roles. Responsibilities include sourcing passive candidates, conducting technical and cultural screens, coordinating interviews, managing candidate logistics, negotiating offers, and onboarding. The recruiter will partner with hiring managers, represent TerraFirma’s mission, track pipeline metrics, improve hiring conversion and time-to-hire, and support fast-paced hiring initiatives.

Own TerraFirma’s HR function, including Rippling, employee relations, benefits, compliance, workforce planning, compensation, performance management, career development, engagement, leaves, workers’ compensation, and recruiting support. Build scalable HR systems and culture across engineering, field operations, manufacturing, and construction teams while advising leadership and ensuring Texas employment-law compliance.

Serves as TerraFirma’s first dedicated legal hire, handling commercial and construction contracts, employment and safety compliance, corporate governance, equity and fundraising matters, and customer and government contract negotiations. Coordinates outside counsel on litigation, intellectual property, regulatory, and government contracting issues; builds legal processes, templates, and playbooks; and provides practical legal guidance to leadership and cross-functional teams.

Design, build, test, and deploy electrical systems for semi-autonomous heavy equipment. Responsibilities include PCB, harness, circuit, and power electronics design; board bring-up and troubleshooting; hardware integration in demanding environments; supplier and manufacturer coordination; and documenting designs and test results.

Own the company’s day-to-day accounting function, including monthly close, reconciliations, financial reporting, billing, collections, accounts payable, and vendor payments. Maintain accurate records across construction projects, government contracts, intercompany activity, and international entities. Coordinate with external providers, improve controls and documentation, clean accounting data, support ERP migration, and resolve accounting issues with finance and operating teams.

Lead TerraFirma’s brand and marketing strategy: define narrative, manage budget and external partners, plan major announcements, amplify founders, and translate technical work into talent-, partner-, customer-, and investor-facing stories.

Design, prototype, and deploy rugged electromechanical systems for remote operation of heavy machinery. Create enclosures, actuators, linkages, wiring harnesses; fabricate with 3D printing and CNC; test for vibration, impact, waterproofing; collaborate with electrical, software teams, vendors, and manufacturers; maintain CAD models and build documentation.

Lead end-to-end talent acquisition: define hiring strategy with leadership, source and close engineers and operators, run technical screens, coordinate onsite interviews in Texas, manage offer negotiation and onboarding, and analyze funnel data to improve conversion and time-to-hire.

Design and implement perception systems for automated heavy machinery: integrate and calibrate advanced sensors, build real-time image/point-cloud processing and fusion pipelines, develop object-detection and ML models, support simulation/visualization, and lead sensor integration, testing, and cross-functional teams to enable collision avoidance, localization, and motion planning.
